The next Greater London Authority elections will be held on May 2nd 2024. Barnet & Camden selected Julie Redmond as our candidate to fight the Barnet & Camden seat on the Greater London Authority.
Julie is passionate about supporting the local community, and has dedicated her time to working with The Felix Project, which distributes surplus food to charities, and offering expert advice in her capacity as the local City Council Health Champion. Julie is also committed to working diligently with fellow Assembly members to develop and implement policies that tackle these issues such as affordable housing, ULEZ and transportation to environmental sustainability and social equality. She has recently visited Homeless Action, Barnet’s Foodbanks, CST Community Security Trust in Hendon. Julie has also had meetings with the Met police in Kilburn and the NHS mental health support teams in Kentish Town, she has also listened to the frustration felt by local resident groups over LTNs, permanent road closures and increase massing and site density of developments.
Julie is married with an 8-year old son. She trained as an NHS A&E nurse and works as a nurse trainer in many hospitals and clinics around London, including in Barnet and Camden, and during Covid she helped with the vaccine rollout.
