Dan Thomas has been selected as the Conservative Party Candidate ahead of the 2016 London elections and after winning the selection he said:

 “I am thrilled to secure the backing of so many activists. I am going to have to spend some time in every corner of the constituency. I know Barnet very well, but I have spent a lot of time in Camden. My campaign will be across all of the constituency. It is very winnable. I feel very confident, because I think Barnet Council has a good track record and the Conservative government has a good track record. Contrast that to the state of the Labour party at the moment".
