Alex Deane joined the vibrant Purim celebrations in Golders Green accompanied by former Home Secretary and staunch ally of the Jewish Community, Suella Braverman MP. The pair joined the festivities and experienced the traditions that make Purim a cherished occasion in the Jewish calendar.
Alex was welcomed warmly by the residents of Golders Green and also met with members of the Shomrim and Hatzalah, vital community organisations that are instrumental in ensuring the safety and health of the community.
Commenting, Alex said:
“Celebrating Purim in Golders Green was an extraordinary experience. The sense of community was palpable, and I am so grateful to everyone who came and said hello and made me feel so welcome. I hope to celebrate many more Purims in Golders Green in the years to come.
It was an honour to witness the dedication of the Shomrim and Hatzalah. Their hard work and commitment to the community are inspiring and I look forward to engaging with them in greater detail over the coming weeks.”
