Barnet Labour had some big promises to fulfil when they took office in May 2022 and in the year since then their record is one of failure. 

Barnet Labour has failed to fix potholes and repair roads, dithering for months and now forced to borrow £8 million in a panic to cover up their incompetence.

They claimed to champion transparency and resident's voices but have now adopted a town hall cabinet system that will increase partisanship and take power away from independent-minded councillors. 

They promised to freeze council tax and deliver a 1% rebate to residents but have since more than doubled council tax and scrapped the rebate.

Another dramatic u-turn has been on council homes, 1000 of which were promised but in the year since, not one single unit as been delivered. 

This is the record Barnet Labour have built for themselves and Barnet deserves better under a Conservative administration.
